March-July04 - Ahymsa records debut album, 'Plane of the Ecliptic'. The album is a collection of earlier songs and newer material, as well as some furtive experiments with weird electronic effects, a human drumkit and a rainstick

13th Dec. 03 - Ahymsa opens for The Random and The Ebb at the Dublin Castle, Camden Town


14th Nov. 03 - Ahymsa launches the "Maya" EP with a gig at the Bull and Gate, Kentish Town


Sept/Oct 03 - band records an EP (titled "Maya"), which represents a change to a heavier, more progressive sound, taking in influences from Led Zeppelin, Metallica, psychedelia and Eastern music. "Maya" represents a band that has grown from the pop-rock of earlier recordings towards a more defined and original sound.


11th Aug. 03 - Ahymsa opens "Subculture" at the Archway Tavern, Archway, supporting Firegarden and the Renegade Playboys


9th Aug. 03 - support slot at the Dublin Castle, Camden Town.


4th Aug. 03 - Ahymsa headlines the Bull and Gate, Kentish Town, with support from Sessions of the Peace


21st July 03 - Ahymsa opens at The Hope and Anchor, Highbury and Islington, supporting Tiny Demons and Thee Deadtime Philharmonic


June 03 - bassist Ed Rainbow replaces James Byers and completes the present line-up.


19th Apr. 03 - Ahymsa headlines The Prince of Wales, Wood Green, with support from Plenoptic


Mar/Apr 03 - the band changes its name to "Ahymsa" and records a self-titled debut mini-album. The album gives the impression that this is a band still struggling to define itself, and features an eclectic mix of ‘power-pop’, ‘ragtime filth’ and appalling mastering. Some good tunes in there, though.


21st Dec. 02 - under the name "Silvertongue" the band opens for a self-organised debut Christmas party/gig at The Prince of Wales, Wood Green, supporting Firegarden and The Electric Church.


Nov. 02 - initial line-up of the band is formed (Graham Lewis, Gemma Kali, Alex Rainbow and James Byers)
